Electromagnetically induced absorption (EIA) is an optical phenomenon that enhances light of plasmonic systems. Depending on the system under investigation, decisive role intrinsic versus radiative damping and phase retardation has been pointed out to control EIA. Herein, a unified interpretation provided mechanism EIA for plasmonic–dielectric composites all-plasmonic dipolar–quadrupolar antennas unraveled. In this theoretical work, finite element method used elucidate how attributed enhancement resonance mode excited by near-field coupling. For fundamental understanding, quantitative analysis developed designing extended coupled-oscillator model. A critical parameter maximize found, which different from previous interpretations such coupled Namely, ratio coupling strength total entire controls The generalized given work can be applied many systems essential future components devices.
